Being so impressed with this new, fast, and super easy to use Linux distribution, has made me not only an advocate but an evangelist. The Register reports today that eBay’s new chief information security officer (CISO) has noted a surprising trend (”eBay: Botnets are Linux-happy“). Specifically, in his previous employment as the CISO of Washington Mutual, evidence suggested that the majority of phishing attempts targeting the company originated on Linux systems.

Installing Audacity MP3 export support on Linux

Audacity is a very good free and open source audio editing application for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
Unfortunately, due to patent restrictions, it is unable to import, export and manipulate MP3 files in the default install and this problem is usually present in the Linux version.
