DOSBox is a freely available, cross-platform PC emulator. Rather than attempting to be the technology leader as a business-orientated virtualization environment like VMware or Qemu, DOSBox instead offers a rich set of features aimed at closely recreating the behaviour of a retro gaming PC.

When I have a few spare time or just want to loosen up a bit, I always indulge myself into playing some computer games. Today while browsing around the CodeWeavers site I came across the 2008 CrossOver roadmap that was posted by Jeremy White the CEO of CodeWeavers. About three paragraphs into the roadmap Jeremy reveals that they plan to release a gaming product in the next couple weeks, called CrossOver Games.

It is perhaps a sign of advancement of Linux as a platform that people are starting to seriously ask the question: "Where are the Linux gamers?" Just recently, I've seen Mad Penguin ask it, followed by this indie-game developer's blog. The question also got batted around on Slashdot.
