Review: Dolphin 1.2.1 File Manager
Dolphin was intended to replace Konqueror as the default file manager in KDE 4. The scope of Dolphin was to only provide a compact and easy-to-use file manager, without all the features and uses Konqueror has. And (I think) it succeeded. In the beginning most of the users were reticent regarding this idea, since Konqueror provided anything one could possibly ask from a file manager.

On March 26 Ubuntu 9.04 Beta was released. I installed it on my main desktop system as soon as it was available, so I've been running it for a few days now. If you're interested in trying out this beta release, remember that it's intended for testing and not mission-critical systems. The release candidate is coming on April 16, and the final on April 23.

Wine development two steps forward one step back
Now we're driving hard towards completing CrossOver 8.0. We've done a ton of work that is going into CrossOver 8; we've got Internet Explorer 7 running, and we're working on 8. We've got a huge number of fixes for Microsoft Office, notably Outlook. And most importantly, we've got Quicken 2009 working along nicely.
