On the future of Open Source thought leadership
My last article on Richard M. Stallman’s verbal attack on Miguel de Icaza and his continuing crusade against anyone who doesn’t fit the mold of the Free Software community seems to have struck a chord.

The Ingratitude of the "Free Software Advocate"
Did Roy put his name in for the Ubuntu Technical Board when nominations were open? Did any of the strident Microsoft-haters? No, not a single one. Too busy "advocating".

Seeking a Stallman for open source
In one of my earliest blog posts here I called Richard Stallman, a father of the open source movement and almost immediately got a personal nastygram. From Richard Stallman. The problem with Gentoo: my reactions
One of the articles Tyler passed me this morning was a brief post on three problems with Gentoo by Dion Moult. There are a few things he’s mentioned that I definitely agree with. Having used the distribution for a little over a month, some minor changes would go a long way to making the experience less painful and more usable.

Unreasonable Demands
There was a little bit of a set-to on identi.ca yesterday, wherein Bradley Kuhn of the SFLC felt it necessary to "denounce" people who were expressing some excitement there about "Hulu" bringing out a version for Linux. According to Kuhn, such interest is a "tragedy".
