Python add-in for MonoDevelop
I wrote a python add-in for MonoDevelop last year. Unfortunately, I have a hard time sticking to a single project and therefore it suffered a bit. However, we are getting ready for feature freeze for MonoDevelop 2.2 and so I kicked my ars in gear to fix a few things.

Secure Remote Access with the Linux-based Untangle Gateway
An SSL portal isn't as secure as a real VPN (virtual private network) such as OpenVPN, but it's easier to set up and is good for specific functions. The Untangle gateway makes setting up and managing an SSL-based Web portal fast and easy; Eric Geier shows how.

Much ado about nothing: C# use in open source
If one were to go by the amount of noise made by pro-Mono people regarding the superiority of the Microsoft clone which they love, one would conclude that C# is the programming language du jour. The reality appears to be somewhat different.

Interrupt mitigation in the block layer
Network device drivers have been using the increasingly misnamed NAPI ("new API") interface for some time now. NAPI allows a network driver to turn off interrupts from an interface and go into a polling mode. Polling is often seen as a bad thing, but it's really only a problem when poll attempts turn up no useful work to do.

HowTo setup a Quorum Disk under Red Hat Linux
Today's tutorial will be on the infamous Quorum disk. When I first setup my GFS2 shared Cluster of 3 nodes, I was quite impressed with the fact that 3 nodes were sharing the same file system. Install RAID 1 in Fedora/Centos/RHEL
RAID 1 is usually implemented as mirroring; a drive has its data duplicated on two different drives using either a hardware RAID controller or software (generally via the operating system). If either drive fails, the other continues to function as a single drive until the failed drive is replaced.

I know. It sounds crazy. But hear me out. They are antithetical not because of the philosophy, but simply because the nature of the products that they make. Linux makes “backend” stuff, while Apple makes “user-facing”/”frontend” stuff. So, they do not compete. And their philosophy is similar.

dhcp-lb: Load balance with DHCP links
So, you have read lartc's guide on 'Routing for multiple uplinks/providers' and it all makes sense (and does work). However, there's a catch for you: Instead of having static network configurations, your ISPs use DHCP to set your network connections and you don't intend to sit all day long waiting for DHCP event to happen to reconfigure the whole thing, do you? That's what I thought
