During a keynote speech at this year's DrupalCon in San Francisco, David Cole, a Senior Advisor to the CIO of the Executive Office of the President, announced that the US Presidential web site developers are contributing some of their custom code to the Drupal project

WhiteHouse.gov released custom code used to develop their open platform built on Drupal. The majority of the code used in the web site of the White House is already open source, but developers are now releasing new code -distributed as Drupal modules- in order to benefit others.

Drupal is an excellent free software content management system, written in PHP. It's a good choice if you have to build a new site for non-technical users or customers, as both content editing and site administration can be done directly in the main site by authenticated users, and there's very little markup for those users to learn.

The developers of Pligg (the engine behind FSDaily) are willing to sell Pligg. The problem here is not the selling but what they are saying.
It is unbelievable that they miss completely what is the FSM, what "community" means and where they will be today if that community didn't have promoted them. They even call us free-riders in a very offensive way. Read more at the forum.
