Ladies and gentlemen, dear geeks... the time has come to announce the release of GNOME 2.26, a light desktop environment used in many popular Linux distributions, such as Ubuntu, Mandriva, PCLinuxOS, etc.

After 11 successful looks at Linux, I think I may have found my favorite... Arch Linux.

Kubuntu 9.04 is due out in April, and as always, I couldn’t help but to start testing it early and get a good look at what we will be expecting come release day. I’ve been using Jaunty for a little over a month now, and I thought I’d share some of my experiences. In summary, if things keep going the way they are now, Jaunty will be the one to watch out for this year.

DreamLinux Desktop 3.5 Edition was released on March 1st, 2009. The distro has experienced some significant changes recently and it really seemed to do it for me in the past so i thought I’d give it a try and see what it could offer me.

For several years now, I've used PCLinuxOS, but a recent series of updates made my system very unreliable. I got restless, and popped in a Fedora 10 disk I got in the mail.

I recently finished the book Pragmatic Thinking and Learning: Refactor Your Wetware by Andy Hunt, co-author of the seminal book The Pragmatic Programmer. In this book Hunt discusses how people (specifically software developers) learn and offers tips on how we can set out to learn more effectively.
