Windows vs Linux in OpenOffice.org 3.0 Benchmark

Differences include compiler brand (Microsoft Visual C++ vs gcc), compiler version (gcc 3 and 4), operating system characteristics, and file systems. Review: Amarok 2.0.2 - Better Than 1.4?
The current version of Amarok 2 does not include all the features 1.4 had, like the equalizer, statistics or queue manager, however it is a new foundation for the releases which will follow. The introduction of widgets is very useful if you ask me, and I also liked the new interface.

GNOME vs. KDE: Which Has the Evolutionary Advantage?
A few weeks ago, Jack Wallen published a comparison of recent GNOME and KDE releases in which he claims that the desktop flame wars in GNU/Linux were about to reignite, and that KDE would emerge as the loser. Performing Backups in Linux
Linux may well be one of the most stable and reliable operating systems out there, but you should still plan for failure. Linux still depends on PC hardware and a steady power supply to be able to function properly. If you are administering Linux servers then this would be a no brainer, but even desktop users should bear it in mind.

Ubuntu Firefox Themes
I've downloaded some great themes for Firefox. Unfortunately not all of them works the way they should. The most common problem is disappearing menu text when mouse pointer hover above it.
You see not themes are made for specific edition and version of Firefox. Not all Firefox created equally I suppose. So here's 3 (for now) Firefox themes that I love to use (tested on Linux Firefox 3.0.6)
