Well, I am back from holidays and I wanted to get a game review in. The game I have decided to review is called Circus Linux.

Logwatch Error - Logwatch is a program that will parse your logs and send you an email every day about what has taken place on your server, a very friendly program. With Ubuntu I kept getting this error, though I checked, I could not find a solution so, as it looked like it was missing a location /var/cache/logwatch, I created one and it worked perfectly.

Even though this book is far too basic for anyone who wants to call herself a Geek Goddess either before or after reading it, How To Be a Geek Goddess is sometimes an entertaining read, if you can keep from throwing it against the wall.

Firefox insists on doing huge amounts of I/O when closing, as well as act slow when using the awesomebar, try the following (close down Firefox completely first):

for f in ~/.mozilla/firefox/*/*.sqlite; do sqlite3 $f ‘VACUUM;’; done

It’s harmless, no data will be lost: it compacts your SQLite databases. Noticable gains for me.

Netbooks are exploding. This isn’t really up for discussion; they’re simply a cheap alternative to traditional laptops that meet about 90% of our needs, both in the educational sector and beyond.

Linux grows up less than Mac OS, Why? It is free, secure, portable and (relatively) easy of use (Ubuntu). The most important reasons are: Mac still offers a better user experience (as Mark Shuttleworth admits) and not enought commercial software are avalaible for Linux. So, what is this "user experience" that Mac has and Linux lacks?
