This tutorial shows how to combine four single storage servers (running Ubuntu 11.10) to one large storage server (distributed storage) with GlusterFS. The client system (Ubuntu 11.10 as well) will be able to access the storage as if it was a local filesystem. GlusterFS is a clustered file-system capable of scaling to several peta-bytes.

After downloading the Collusion add-on for Firefox, you can generate a visual representation of all the cookies that have been downloaded which are linked to the sites you have visited. Fedora 17 GNOME beta, as well as the beta of the KDE, LXDE and Xfce Spins, were released yesterday – almost two weeks past due date. This, however, is not highly unusual for the Fedora project. Unlike Ubuntu, their release schedule is not cast in concrete. They are more interested in getting stuff that works out the door, instead of shoving something out to meet a set deadline.

You can import models using several popular formats. Once you have sketched your plan, you can make virtual visits into it. Of course this works much better with 3d acceleration. It's surprisingly funny.
