Is Windows 7 Really A Linux Killer?
A recent ComputerWorld article titled "Windows 7: The Linux Killer" has been getting a lot of attention. The article basically argues that Microsoft's vulnerability to Linux comes entirely from netbooks and that Windows 7 is designed to and will take over the netbook market. On one point I agree, on one point I disagree, and on one point I think we just have to wait and see.

A Penguin Deathmatch? Fedora 10 vs. Ubuntu 8.10
After several weeks of trying I finally had to give in to my sweaty and now pruney hands. I could not get the heat out of my Ubuntu install on my T60p laptop. I tried everything…CPU monitors, tuning down the speed, blowing out the vents, BIOS changes, and all that. Last night I grabbed the Fedora 10 installer, burned an ISO and re-booted.

Ubuntu and Kubuntu Street Art Wallpapers
I have always been a street art, or graffiti, fan. Because of this I have always wanted a Kubuntu or KDE wallpaper with this style. The other day while checking out KDE Look, someone had made some for other distros. I messaged the person online and today he answered and answered big time, producing 2 great looking wallpapers. OpenSUSE changes licenses
With its recent 11.1 release, OpenSUSE has changed the end-user license agreement (EULA) users must accept in order to install the distribution. The new, more Fedora-like license could increase the distribution's appeal among those wishing to redistribute the software, including engineers assembling filesystems for embedded Linux devices.
