Sometimes you just want to make quick edits to a HTML, CSS or JavaScript file and launching an IDE is just overkill. Ideally you want to open the editor quickly, edit the file, save and quit. Nothing more, nothing less. If there is some code highlighting or code completion that's great but not essential.
