The Ubuntu Developer Summit, currently running in Barcelona, is reported to have three sessions dealing with Google's Android operating system, fuelling speculation over what Karmic Koala, Ubuntu 9.10, will offer in the way of Android compatibility.

Today was the first day of the Ubuntu Developer's Summit for Karmic Koala. In the next week, the plans for Karmic Koala should be roughly defined for implementation over the next four months.

Previously some there was some problem for remastering Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic koala). Karmic Koala is using Grub 2, remastersys is designed for grub 1. Now Remastersys is redesigned for ubuntu 9.10 with grub 2 and it is working. you need Remastersys version 2.0.13-1 or higher.
All other options are just like previous versions.

The Ubuntu project has released the first beta of Ubuntu Linux 9.10 (Karmic Koala), which has already been favorably previewed, especially for its fast boot time. Based on Linux 2.6.31, Karmic Koala offers GNOME 2.28 and Ext4 as defaults, and adds "cloud" features and improved installation.

The Ubuntu development team unleashed the fourth alpha version of the upcoming Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) operating system, which is scheduled for release in late October this year.
