Open source products comprise the work of many collaborators -- sometimes thousands of them, and often separated by oceans. Each person works on small portions of a project, and anyone is welcome to contribute. The finished product will be available freely for anyone to download and, in most cases, modify.

Their use of the phrase "Payed-for
Their use of the phrase "Payed-for version" and "Open source version" I don't think is helpful. The reverse would be "Closed source version" and "Not payed-for version". "Closed source" isn't the entire issue (this is 'Free Software' Daily), also "Not payed-for version" isn't entirely true. As the saying goes, Free as in ... you know how it goes. :)
I got a bit hung-up on that so I didn't get much further... :(
