A new campaign by the FSF outlines the 7 sins of Windows: 1. Poisoning education, 2. Invading privacy, 3. Monopoly behavior, 4 Lock-in, 5. Abusing standards, 6. Enforcing Digital Restrictions Management (DRM), 7. Threatening user security.
The campaign advocates to use Free Software instead of windows.

From Russia with Linux
I came across two seemingly unrelated reports, one from the Register, stating that Microsoft will offer a choice of browsers in the EU version of Windows 7 and one from FAS Russia, which began proceedings in a case against several major hardware manufacturers. If this is the shape of things to come, it could mean the OS landscape is about to change.

Microsoft reminds us that Windows is f*cking expensive
Microsoft has finally released the pricing structure for Windows 7. The good news is that the new version of Windows will be a bit cheaper than the equivalent version of Windows Vista. The bad news is that since I am now used to receiving Ubuntu for free this made me realize that a Windows 7 license is in fact f*cking expensive!
