I just saw a submission in our upcoming queue from the linsux.org site which links to a forum in which one of the linsux.org members - among other things - encourages other members and readers of linsux.org to join the FSDaily community in order to vote down all stories from Boycott Novell.

Few sites about free software attract more controversy than Boycott Novell. Founded in 2006 in response to the first Microsoft-Novell deal, as its name suggests, the site has evolved more recently into a site for commentary and investigation of any subject that might be a threat to free software.

The site claims to be "Exploring the reality behind exclusionary deals with Microsoft and their subtle (yet severe) implications".

The keyword is "Reality". Unfortunately, there is not a lot of reality or even any facts behind Boycott Novell's articles, which seem to come several times daily. Let me explain:

Boycott Novell is one opinionated site. If you think I'm pro-Linux and hard on Microsoft, you haven't been reading Roy Schestowitz, who makes me look as mild as a May day. It's also made enemies.

As you may or may not know, the official Boycott Microsoft Web site has been inactive for about 10 years. In the week to come we will present some of its old yet invaluable findings. We ought to share them in order to demonstrate how little the company has changed since the more brutal antitrust era (before change in administration, which has turned a blind eye to bad behavior since).
