European Patent Office issued fewer patents in 2007

Last year, the European Patent Office (EPO) issued far fewer patents than in 2006. The Munich patent authorities have announced that they approved exactly 54,699 patent applications for commercial protection, 12.9 per cent fewer than in the previous year.

Ubuntu Linux not for ! Puppy Linux Rocks.

So a friend gave me her old computer and says ‘ I can’t use it, it has a virus or something’. Turns out it didn’t have a virus it had a huge problem with the hardrive. The computer didn’t boot. I got a blue screen of death with error code 0×00000024. I did a quick search on the Microsoft site and quickly learned there was serious problems with the hardrive.

Kubuntu 8.04: Hello Old Friend

Have you ever run into an old friend, whom you've not seen in a long time? I experienced this recently with a Kubuntu install. You see, I used to be a heavy KDE user and really loved using it. When Ubuntu become a fairly common household word, I started taking a look at it, but was turned off by Gnome initially. By the time Ubuntu 7.10 rolled out I found myself comfortable with Gnome.

I use Thunderbird 2.0.0.12 on Foresight Linux and have tested all of these extensions and verified that they work on that environment.
