The New Ubuntu (10.10) Font Available For (almost) Everyone
After finally getting the bold version last week, the Ubuntu font which will be default in Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat is finally available for (almost) everyone. Why almost? Here is an email from the Kubuntu-users mailing list:

Kongoni GNU/Linux 1.12.3 RC2 (Cicero) is out in the wild
A major modification done to Kongoni, is moving from the classic kernel, found at kernel.org to the FSF kernel, which has removed all of the non-free firmware. Also removed from git repository any trace of non-free software and firmware. Kongoni now uses GRUB2 as the default boot loader and also has a very good OS detection setup. KDE updated to 4.4.5, GNU IceCat 3.6.8.
