rsnapshot is a filesystem backup utility based on rsync. Using rsnapshot, it is possible to take snapshots of your filesystems at different points in time. Using hard links, rsnapshot creates the illusion of multiple full backups, while only taking up the space of one full backup plus differences. A (New) Bash Script to Download Entire PicasaWeb Albums

Although Picasa is now available on GNU/Linux, it is still proprietary and, as such, unethical. One year ago, I wrote a simple Bash script that handles a very rapid download of entire PicasaWeb albums/galleries. During the last weeks, Google changed twice the format of the related Web pages and my script could not fetch any picture.
