Good blog writing software for Linux or lack thereof
Has anyone ever noticed the lack of good blog writing software for linux? I know that ‘good’ is a relative term and some may be happy with the way it is now. I am not.

Select default audio device in Ubuntu 8.04
I am using plantronics USB headset connected to a laptop with Ubuntu Hardy installed. In this second part of my survey I focus on the tools that achieve this new synthesis of arts. VLC gets a New Face

Why I am Leaning Toward FreeBSD
Continuing the series of trying to come up with reasons for choosing an operating system, FreeBSD will be discussed. Although FreeBSD is not Linux, it is Unix-like, nonetheless. I have never used FreeBSD and all things discussed here are second-hand knowledge.

KDE 4.1. The promise of a better future!
For the past week I have been exclusively using KDE4. I had read all the hype and flame wars so I decided to make up my own mind. To that effect I asked my Google eyed friend what to do and installed KDE4 from a third party repository.
