Proposal from OLPC Paraguay for better management of Sugar platform
The project to deliver One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) for educational purpose in developing countries is doing great in Paraguay. According to developer Bernie Innocenti, this success comes from a way to manage the development of the Sugar educational software that other countries (or any other similar projects, see for example the Teachermate or the italian JumpPC) could and should imitate.

Getting virt-install to work with Xen 4.0 guests on top of Ubuntu 10.04 Server
Schema worked so nicely on Ubuntu Karmic Koala doesn’t help any longer. Virt-install crashes right away attempting to launch VNC console. Set up Xen 4.0 Dom0 with pvops kernel 2.6.32.12 on top of Ubuntu 10.04 Server. Install just two packages virtinst and python-virtinst.

Window Indicators ("Windicators") Coming To Ubuntu
Mark Shuttleworth just announced the plan for the empty space on the right created by moving the window buttons (controls) to the left: Window Indicators or "windicators".
Window Indicators will be just like the current Panel Indicators: they will have an icon which indicates the state and clicking it brings up a menu.

Incompatibility with nVidia upstream driver installer in Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid)
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS includes improved integration for nVidia binary driver packages. Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of compatibility with the installer provided upstream on the nVidia website.
