Distro Update: Ultimate Edition
Ultimate Edition, sometimes called Ubuntu Ultimate Edition, is a modified version of Ubuntu with a new theme and tons and tons of applications. To make room for all this stuff, Ultimate Edition is distributed on a DVD, rather than a CD. That said, at only 1.3GB, Ultimate Edition is one of the smalled DVD distros.

Getting Mono and MySQL to play together politely
When I first used Mono, shortly after its first appearance in 2004, one of my most important requirements was to get connected to a MySQL back end. Size limits for trash
Some weeks ago, one of our customers asked for a nice
feature that was requested 4 years ago the first time
as far as I can see from the bug tracking system... I started
implement most of the features requested there and 3 days later
we have a nice trash space handling now.

Distros will always be "Linux" and not their own operating systems
Today we have hundreds of distributions out available. Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE, Debian and many more. Many of them are based of each other. Ubuntu for instance is based on Debian, while OpenSUSE is based on Fedora. Despite the fact that they are all under the name of "Linux", most of these Operating Systems are leading their own development.

Alright folks, if you don't know what Ubuntu is, it is a free GNU/Linux distribution that rivals many current operating systems like Windows, Mac OS X. As it is an open source operating system, you can highly customize it according to your needs. Now, I am not explaining what Ubuntu is and its features. Version 1.0 of GNU ed released
"GNU ed is a line-oriented text editor. It is used to create, display, modify and otherwise manipulate text files, both interactively and via shell scripts. A restricted version of ed, red, can only edit files in the current directory and cannot execute shell commands. Ed is the "standard" text editor in the sense that it is the original editor for Unix, and thus widely available.
