A Dashboard for OpenOffice.org
Inspired by Spicebird (http://www.spicebird.com/content/home-screen), and the default page for a new tab in Google Chrome, we've developed a mockup of a possible dashboard concept for OpenOffice.org. By tying more effectively into the always-on nature of web applications, we could stand out and demonstrate that we are more modern and more advanced than our competitors.

Time For Ubuntu To Move To Stability
This morning I went to find the name of a piece of software through Add/Remove programs, only to find that there was only one category ("All") and there were no applications listed at all. It took me less than 10 minutes to find and implement the solution, but I shouldn't have to deal with this stuff. Worse, I find that these sorts of little problems are almost common.

What really gets me excited about Linux is its ability to recover from disasters. When, in an emergency, a program or service has to be moved from one machine to another in the shortest time possible I would bet on Linux every time.
