Linux fails to be a desktop operating
Linux fails to be a desktop operating system because it doesn't try to be one; Linux only tries to be a good general-purpose operating system kernel. However, a GNU/Linux based operating system distribution works well as an operating system. 1) Do nothing/drop free software all together
2) Visit some qualified free software professional and pay them for support.
3) Invest some time to learn about how to use free software.
