So why did they sign the deal? I have no respect for Xandros after they did that, regardless of the reason.

I met a few people who were interested

I met a few people who were interested in using Xandros for their first GNU/Linux distribution yesterday.

I explained the situation and steered them towards better alternatives.

Good. People need to realize that

Good. People need to realize that the GNU/Linux community will NOT support them if they use Xandros,Novell, or any other products made by companies that cooperate with Microsoft. Also, companies should also realize they will lose that same support.
