How is the third version of the GNU General Public License (GPLv3) being received four months after its official release?

A survey conducted by Evans Data shows that open source developers are not adopting the third version of the GNU General Public License as quickly as some may have hoped. Those who remain reluctant to incorporate GPL v3 cited reasons ranging from questions of its enforceability in court to disagreements with some of its new components.

There are some devs out there that don't like PHP, then there are those that do. A new survey from Evans Data of over 500 developers, asked questions in 12 different categories to see which dynamic languages they like best.

"For all that a great deal of attention was given to the arrival of the GPLv3 (Gnu General Public License, version 3), few software developers announced plans to move their programs to this new license. Now, open-source programmers are beginning to give the new license a try."

Nearly half of developers working on open source projects plan to offer applications as web services offerings using cloud providers, according to results of a new Evans Data open source development survey.
