Not accurate enough
For the GPLv2 simplification, it should be:
#1: Everybody that has a licensed copy of the binary program will also have the right to the corresponding source code.
#2: Everybody has the right to run and share and study and improve this program. This assumes the user has access to the code.
#3: Everybody who shares modified copies of the program must share all the changes to the recipients of the modified program.
#4: Everybody who shares the modified program must maintain the original license

The hostility is because people are immature, not the licenses.
Theo de Rant should just let the merits of the BSD software and license speak for themselves.
