SCO has filed a notice asking the Utah District Court to dismiss its stayed claims and issue a final judgment with respect to both the August 10, 2007 and the July 16th, 2008 orders, so SCO can appeal right now. It points out that Novell was told to file a final judgment, and it hasn't done so.

Novell is asking the Utah District Court to set aside the earlier judgment by the Hon. Dale Kimball that Novell is not entitled to any of the SCOsource money from Microsoft or from Linux end users like EV1.

Novell filed today, as per the deadline, two documents, one an unopposed filing regarding interest due Novell by SCO -- SCO has agreed to the sum of $918,122 in prejudgment interest and $489 per day until the final judgment is entered.

SCO has filed a Statement Regarding Entry of Final Judgment [PDF], responding to Novell's Response to SCO's Notice of Voluntary Dismissal , which asked the court to confirm the amount of the constructive trust the parties have agreed to and to make SCO pay it now, which in turn followed SCO's Notice of Voluntary Dismissal.
