The EU Commission announced on June 25 that EIF/2.0 (The European Interoperability Framework which defines the rules for software used in e-Government) will hold the line as regards patents on standards.

Addicted to Greed!
Of course the EU is "imposing one business model over another". They are trying to impose a very good "business model" instead of a very, very bad one.
Of course the greedy US corporations are screaming blue murder at being robbed of the opportunity to bleed the EU white; their "business model" has always been "Greed is Good".
