Android continues its march towards the top of the smartphone market. We’re in the new economy where every two years we get a new phone, whether we need one or not. And every few months we get a new Android release. Android 2.1 is barely a few months old and it is already time for a new one.

The release of the QUENCH (CLIQ XT) marks the eighth Android-powered smartphone from Motorola. The company has been creating some popular Android handsets like the Backflip, DROID, and a few others so expect to see more to come.The QUENCH will run Android 1.5 ("Cupcake") and will feature Motorola's very own MOTOBLUR technology.
