Following on the third beta release two weeks ago, we are ready to present Drupal 6.0 beta 4. Since the previous beta release, we have committed over 80 fixes to the Drupal 6.x code. This beta version includes some usability improvements and lots of bug fixes for issues which the testers and contributed module upgraders encountered. The first beta announcement provided a comprehensive list of high level improvements made since Drupal 5.x, so in this announcement we'll concentrate on how you can help ensure that Drupal 6 is released as soon as possible and is as rock solid as the previous Drupal releases that you've grown to love!

A lot of Drupal people and organizations help promote Drupal. At Acquia, we also like to help with promoting Drupal. One of the things we've been doing since the inception of Acquia, is talking to analyst firms like Gartner, Forrester, and the 451group about Drupal, and all of Drupal's successes.

I don’t hate Drupal. I admit I don’t like it too much but this is not the point of the post. The point is not to bash Drupal vs WordPress. It’s only to explain why it will be never as popular. If you plan to invest in Drupal for your new site, or in creating Drupal extensions for sale, or to grow a career in Drupal development, and so on, popularity is important thing to consider.

It’s finally here. After much poking and prodding the developers of the Ubuntu Drupal have finally released a fully working version for Drupal 5.x.

Drupal is a great CMS no doubt. I have gone round and tried lots of them, but I still come back to Drupal. However, the more I use it, the more I feel that the following five modules should actually come by default with every Drupal installation.
