"Lots of news this month!

Today (March 17 2009) Mil Incorporated released the new versions of its powerful security software - Mil Shield and Mil Firewall. The new features introduced in today’s releases include:

* Mil Shield software 6.8:
- Added removing of 22 new Windows and application tracks.
* Mil Firewall software 2.1:
- Predefined rules for most frequently used programs.

This is the ninth development release and first release candidate for GNOME 2.20.0, which will be released later this month. This release is the last before hard code freeze starts on september 10th. Please test this as much as you can and file bugs if you want them fixed before the final release.

A quick tutorial on how to cross-compile (on a Debian host) the newly released Linux kernel 3.0 with a toolchain for ARM (arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc) packaged by the Emdebian project.

If all goes according to plan, X.Org 7.4 will finally be released this month. This release isn't quite as elaborate as X.Org 7.3, which introduced input hot-plugging, EXA enhancements, and RandR 1.2 to just name a few features, but X.Org 7.4 is another update better enhancing this X server.
