Over the last 4 years, firefox is becoming more and more popular, and its market share is increasing by 5% each year over the last 4 years. But since one hasto actively download and install the program (on Mac and Windows), why do people choose to download and install Firefox? Why not Opera, Safari, Konqueror or any other browser?
In my previous post on installing Firefox 3.5 on Ubuntu 9.04, I explained how to install Ubuntu's firefox-3.5 package. As myself and several commenters realized, this may not be the best solution. The package is branded Shiretoko instead of Firefox 3.5, including the user agent string which can cause compatibly problems with some websites.
I was telling you about my issues with scrolling in Firefox (see #6). Well, I didn't manage to fix that for Firefox 3.5 but instead, I installed Firefox 3.6 beta 1 pre (Namoroka) and the scrolling now works perfectly (thanks to Tinhed for the tip!). Also, basically everything feels a lot faster, at least in Ubuntu. This is why I suggest you upgrade to Firefox 3.6.

As you may have noticed, Firefox 3 is released today. Excited by this prospect, the first thing I did when I got up was to rush to my computer to download it (yes, pathetic, I know). And what do I find?
