The Ubuntu developers are moving quickly to bring you the absolute latest and greatest software the Open Source community has to offer. The Lucid Lynx Alpha 3 is the third alpha release of Ubuntu 10.04, bringing with it the earliest new features for the next version of Ubuntu.
Saleel Velankar recently posted this beautiful wallpaper suggestion on the Ubuntu-art mailinglist. Although I really like the use of the mascot (the codename), I would prefer a more abstract, or less obvious, animal like the Hardy Heron or Intrepid Ibex wallpapers.

As everybody knows Ubuntu 10.04LTS Lucid is planned for the month of 29 april 2010, the developers actually are working on softwares that will be included by default in the future Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid, one of the news is that a backup tool will be included by default to the next release. I have some great news for everyone today. As you can see by the title of this article, OpenShot is now officially included in the Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) repository. If you have an alpha version of Lucid, you can already find it in the Software Center. Just search for "openshot".
