Shutter is probably the most powerful screenshot application for Linux, and the main reason for this is that it comes with tons of configuration options for the final process of taking a simple screenshot. After spending some time messing with it, I can say very confidently that it is just about the best feature in GNOME 3.4, and if you combine it with Deepin Linux‘s built-in screen grabber and image editing tool, you have two very good reason to consider using a distribution that ships with a modified GNOME 3 desktop.

The advantage of using commandline tool is that if you need to take a screenshot in an environment, where you cannot run a graphical screenshot utility prefer this method.
