Since KDE 4.3 has been released, various reviews have appeared on the web. The DOT had a look at some of them. Polishlinux once again offers an extensive review with many screenshots showing what is new in KDE 4.3. According to Korneliusz Jarz?bski, "Finally the day has come, when the curiosity about the KDE4.3 development branch took the better of me.".

Trolltech has announced the official release of Qt 4.4, a much-anticipated update to their popular, cross-platform software development framework. Ars Technica conducted extensive testing to see how the new features perform.

The official 1.0 release of MonoDevelop was announced late last week. The open source development environment includes a number of advanced features such as project management tools, a graphical user interface designer, a unit testing system, version control integration, and an add-in system that facilitates extensibility.

When KDE 4.0 was officially released in January, there were a lot of gaping holes in basic functionality. During the past few months, the codebase has matured considerably, and the environment is steadily approaching the point where it will be sufficiently robust for widespread day-to-day use. Although there are still many features missing, version 4.0.2—which was released last week—offers an improved user experience. We tested KDE 4.0.2 with the recently released Kubuntu 8.04 alpha 6.

There has not been a new development release of Fedora 12 since the Constantine Alpha release back in August. However, the second and last development release, Fedora 12 Beta, is set to be released next week. It has been delayed a few times already, but Fedora 12 Beta packs all of the features that are to be found in Fedora 12 with the final development freeze already in effect.

A week after the NVIDIA Linux engineering team released the 190.42 driver release candidate, this driver is now deemed stable and has been officially released on NVIDIA's web-site.
