Thanks to GIMP FX Foundry, you can now equip GIMP 2.6 with 117 additional scripts that can work some spectacular extra effects into existing graphics.

117 new Gimp effects are available for download at Gimp FX Foundry, a SourceForge project, these effects are not part of the standard Gimp installation.

As I was working on a sound track project for a science-fiction film I've been working on, I remembered reading an article iwhich described filtering using Gimp and a command-line program now called "The Analysis & Resynthesis Sound Spectrograph".

GIMP is my image editor/creator of choice on both Windows and Linux however I prefer Photoshop on Mac. If you have any experience of Photoshop you will know how to use these tools, brushes and effects in it.

Playing with GIMP is never boring, every time you do some experiment you come to know of some cool effect. The best part are the filters, which if applied properly, can produce jaw dropping effects. Will scripts are a collection of plugins with nice effects for Gimp, the scripts are Camo, Shadow glow, Psychedelic Lightning, Leopard Print, Slime and Wave Tank
