Cost is not the only thing. Vista
Cost is not the only thing. Vista is riddled with bugs and hardware support is lagging. Uptake is so slow, hardware makers are not rushing the job of writing drivers.

For me at least, my answer to this question was a huge, resounding yes, it will. Vista is actually what made me come over to Linux fulltime, not because of the price or the cost of upgrading, but because of the massive amount of problems Vista has.
