I have no interest in dealing with Microsoft, no partnerships, no trust, no respect, their name is dirt to me and socially they are a pariah. Not because of some fundamentalism or because I have an unwarranted grudge; But because they do harm to my communities.

They taught me how to read.
Actually, seriously. Funny story there. I played the family computer a lot as a young child. During my toddler years, I actually learned to play many DOS text-based adventures with my parents, Dad always loved space games and Mom always did things like King's Quest. So, before you go blasting Microsoft for everything they've ever done, consider this:
I learned to read early because of MS-DOS and text adventures from Sierra. It spawned several interests for me in many things: the arts, adventure games, character design, graphic design, and programming. Also, it probably attributed to my high literacy level in school.
