Indeed, the art of wesnoth
Indeed, the art of wesnoth is one of the best if not the best in the entire free gaming world.
However..there are other free software games that also rival Wesnoth in art.
One of them is the Hero of Allacrost RPG located at http://allacrost.org
Some of their art is also the work of wesnoth contributors as well.
