The Linux Foundation is very excited to announce the launch of LinuxCon, a brand new annual North American technical conference. The 1st Annual LinuxCon is taking place September 21 – 25, 2009 in Portland, OR. Registration and Call for Papers are now open - details are below.

The inaugural LinuxCon organized by the Linux Foundation is set to become the biggest Linux gathering of 2009. Scheduled for next month, September 21-23, in Portland, Oregon, the event will draw some of the best and the brightest that the Linux community has to offer. No less than Linus Torvalds and Mark Shuttleworth among other industry experts will speak at LinuxCon.

Linux Foundation's inaugural LinuxCon event is scheduled for Sept. 21-23, 2009, in Portland, Oregon. LinuxCon intends to draw a mix of end-users, administrators, and top Linux developers, with speakers including Linus Torvalds, Mark Shuttleworth, and Greg Kroah-Hartman.

The Linux Foundation will be calling its first LinuxCon conference from September 21 through 23 in Portland OR. Linus Torvalds and Mark Shuttleworth will be among the speakers and Linux Magazine Online will do a live stream, free for the keynotes.

I have just finished up three days at LinuxCon in Portland, put on by the Linux Foundation. Overall, I would say it was a great success.

The Linux Foundation confirmed keynotes for the year's highly anticipated LinuxCon. LinuxCon combines the developer and end user communities to produce more than 75 sessions that address "all matters Linux."
