If you are using Linux than Gnome Do should definitely be installed on your desktop. It is nice eyecandy and has good functionality.

Gnome Do is a a poster-child for the M$-Mono code that is steadily ruining the once-great Gnome desktop.
Use Launchy or Katapult, which are genuine Free Software, instead.
