One of Linux gaming’s oldest and most stalwart commercial supporters, id Software, was just purchased by ZeniMax Media, who already own Bethesda Softworks. I guess it’s not too surprising to see consolidation in this market, but it is a little sad to see id lose a bit of its independence.
