FSDaily is a community driven site. Without submissions from the community there is no news for the FSDaily community. I started thinking about good Free Software related presents lately. Until now the best things which came into my mind are books. So I thought it might be good to have a list of Free Software related books which are nice to read also for people who haven't heard or read about Free Software before.

Blue Gnu Media & Technology launched Blue GNU, a news site focused on the Free Software movement. The company uses only Free Software for both its office and website.

In a press release from the Icelandic Ministry of Education the ministry explains it is working with the free software community to put free software into Icelandic schools. Two main reasons are given. Firstly, the Ministry’s agenda is to increase knowledge and competence among students in IT related subjects (using free software). Secondly, the ministry wants to cut costs.
