With just less than one month left of class, I decided to see if my 8th Grade students at the American International School in Saigon would be interested in learning Linux. I am glad I tried because these kids seemed to be having a lot of fun.

I’ve been curious about Arch for a long time and now finally I had the opportunity to try it out. Basically, I’m giving new life to an old PC and thus I’m exploring ways to use the most lightweight software possible. That means choosing the right applications and the right distribution. I’m not sure if Arch is the right distribution, but I like it.

Clouds are such big Linux news these days that, in the physical world, it would be raining by now. Or at least heavily overcast.

OKAY, so we wrote a quick post to point out that Bryan and Co. are very hostile towards GNU. And no, it wasn't trolling and it was not provocative; it was actually pretty polite. The convictions of these guys have been apparent to their audience for quite some time and the latest burst that led to bad press was merely a last straw...

The title statement is one that became immediately clear with the unsuccessful installation of Windows 7 Release Candidate on a machine of mine that has perfectly serviceable video with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and many versions of Linux.
