A Short Summary of FSCONS 2008
Already in the preparation stages of FSCONS it became clear that we had something good and unique going. With the aim of making it a social event that bridges between the different movements working for digital freedom, we tried to construct a multifaceted but unified program that in large part emphasized the social aspects.

SuperTuxKart from the Libregamewiki, the Free Gaming Encyclopedia
SuperTuxKart is a racing game featuring the Linux mascot Tux. It is an enhanced fork of TuxKart. The latest version of the game is 0.5 and was released on May 31th, 2008. It is written in the C++ programming language. It uses the library SDL and PLIB for graphics and OpenAL for sounds.
SuperTuxKart was worked on by the GotM team through July to December 2004.

The BBC's George Wright explains the experimental new content distribution platform
The BBC have recently released a plugin for totem which allows users to view some of the BBCs content though a pretty interface in totem.
This allows users to access the beebs content though a nice interface.
