Already the fifth edition, Libre Graphics Meeting continues to grow and to become more relevant. Both attendance and organization were amazing this year. There were, of course, the developers of the various libre graphics software projects: gimp, inkscape, scribus, mypaint, nathive, blender, krita, laidout, nodebox, shoebot, phatch and many more.

I’ve released ver sion 0.4.0 of Lightspark, a free flash player imple men ta tion. This release was focused on improv ing sta bil ity, so all the crashes found by many testers should be fixed now.

By now, just about everyone on the planet has heard the term “Apple Fanboy.” If you’ve ever said anything good about an Apple product, you’ve likely been called one. But a new class of fanboy has emerged — one that, amazingly, may be be equally as passionate. The Android Fanboy.

The Android platform has really matured in the past year or so. With the latest Android 2.2 SDK just released at Google I/O 2010, we thought it would be fitting to do a little review of how far the platform has come.

wxCam is a webcam application for linux. It supports video recording (in an avi uncompressed and Xvid format), snapshot taking, and some special commands for philips webcams, so you can also use the program for astronomy purposes. It supports both video4linux 1 and 2 drivers, so it should work on a very large number of devices.

Sadly many times these plastic flash drives are destroyed in my pocket as I have them attached to my key-chain. This is a nice looking solution for this problem. This is a durable, gold plated, nice looking flash drive with Linux installed. I would install backtrack on mine but Ubuntu is fine.
