The much awaited PCLinux OS 2010 was released in beta yesterday. Time for another celebration and another install test. PCLinux OS (PCLOS) is all I wanted, a stable KDE distro with the latest KDE 4.4.1 and Firefox 3.6. I spared no time and tried the beta on my Virtualbox setup.

gThumb Finally Gets Flickr Support
The gThumb development is getting more and more interesting: after getting PicasaWeb support about a month ago, a branch called "flickr" (well, actually "flicker" but that's a typo by the developers) has been merged, meaning gThumb will finally get Flickr support. We couldn't resist so we updated the package in our PPA to the latest GIT so you (and us) can enjoy this cool new feature.

Virtual Users/Domains With Postfix, MySQL, SquirrelMail (Mandriva 2010.0)

The Ubuntu One music store and free software for profit
One of the features expected with the upcoming Ubuntu 10.04 release is the Ubuntu One Music Store (UOMS). The UOMS is a mechanism by which Ubuntu users can purchase songs in the MP3 format, with some of the revenue going to support Canonical.
