Novell's Linux business is keeping the company buoyant in trying economic times, the company's third-quarter earnings indicate. On Thursday, the software maker published its third-quarter results, which revealed that revenue from its Linux platform products had increased 22 percent, year-on-year, to US$38 million.

Novell’s turnover for the third quarter this year is lower than that of the third quarter last year, but the figures are still in the black. Is 7 years of RHEL support still sufficient ?
Seven years is a long time. Most people won't know where they are in 7 years. I'm interested to find out how many kids will be running around the house in 2016 However if you are responsible for thousands of Enterprise Linux servers, seven years may no longer be sufficient.
