Linux device downloads BitTorrent video
A startup called Myka is accepting orders for a Linux-based device that downloads, stores, and plays BitTorrent media files on an attached TV. Myka's TorrentTV offloads BitTorrent peer-to-peer duties from a PC platform, easing the process of displaying "Torrents" on a TV.

Nokia tablet gains WiMAX
Nokia announced a WiMAX version of its Linux-based Nokia N810 Internet Tablet. Aside from the new WiMAX radio, the WiMAX Edition appears to offer identical hardware to the original N810, but offers a pre-installed version of Nokia's new Linux-based "Tablet OS2008" operating system (OS).

"I've been writing a bit of common lisp these days, and a "feature" I really like is SLIME. Rather than giving up Perl forever and telling everyone how awesome lisp is, I decided it would be easier to just steal the nice features for Perl instead.
